Abstract
Backgrounds and Objectives: Toxoplasmosis is a parasitic disease and its main way of transmission is placenta to fetus pathway. If this transmission occurs in the 3th month of pregnancy consequences such as abortion, central nerve system abnormality and ocular disorder may happen. Because of this issue, the precise detection of Toxoplasma Antibodies such as as IgG and IgM has utmost importance that contains ELISA & ELISA AVIDITY. Materials and Methods: In this survey the serum and amniotic fluid samples that were collected from 48 pregnant women were collected and measurements were performed by ELISA AVIDITY kit. Results: The results of this study showed that the ELISA AVIDITY techniques able to detect the toxoplasma infection and its temporal occurrence. Conclusion: In ELISA technique the only antibody that could be detected precisely is IgM; but in this new technique IgG antibody also is detected, and enable us to better estimate the transmission time during the pregnancy.
