Aims and Scope

Platinum Open Access, License and copyright

Medical Journal of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences is a Platinum Open Access journal. All contents of the journal is freely available to the audiences. Users can read, download, print and search as well as link to the full text of the articles.
The authors are asked to sign and attach the exclusive license for their work to the journal as open access under Creative Commons License 4.0 (CC-BY) at the time of submission.
Copyright of the manuscript is reserved for the authors of the work. The authors of the published manuscripts are free to register their articles in the journals in various repositories. For more information, please see open access and copyright policy. 
As it is a Platinum Open Access journal, the expenses related to publications are provided by the Vice Chancellor for Research of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences.

Plagiarism Policies

The authors should be aware of publishing ethics, especially about writing, duplication, plagiarism, image manipulation, conflict of interest and adherence to ethical standards in research. In cases of suspected potential misconduct, standards and guidelines of COPE will be applied and recommendations will be considered. If plagiarism is detected during the review process, the submitted article will be rejected. If plagiarism is detected after publication, we reserve the right to amend or revoke the article as appropriate. We also reserve the right to report plagiarism to the writers’ Institute before or after publication. If plagiarism is detected, we will follow the flowchart of COPE.

History

This journal started publishing with the publication of the first issue in February 1960 under the title of “Tabriz Medical and Pharmaceutical Journal.” After several pauses in publishing and renaming, this journal has been publishing under the title of “Medical Journal of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences” since 2021.

Archiving

This journal provides unrestricted access to the published content through its website. The full text of the articles is also archived in Scopus, SID, magiran and IRANMEDEX.
