Materials and Methods: This was a randomized retrospective study of tymponoplesty results from 1998 to 2003 in Imam Khomeini Hospital . For this purpose, 300 cases were selected. 192 patient accepted to be examined. All patients underwent microsocpic otologic examination and oudiotympanometry and results collected. Results: In our study 13% perforation, 5.1% retraction, 0.5% tympanic membrane lateralization, 1.5% tympanicmembrane cholesteatome, 2% granulation, 1% tympanic membrane seleros of TM were detected. ABG after operation of patients had a 19.3 (0-10db). 30% were within (11-20 db), 43% (21-40db )and 7.4% more than 40 db. 33.7% otalgia, 33.5% tinnitus, 24.7% headache, 20% disturbed taste and 6.8% discharges of ear after operation. 59.3% of all examined tympanic membranes were normal. Conclusion: There were no significant relation between the operation age and tymparoplasty sequels We detected a significant relation between pathology and operation sequels, our success rate in grafts were comparable to others quoted in literature.
