Abstract
HTLV-1 (human T-cell lymphotropic virus) is the cause of two recognized human diseases; Adult T cell Leukemia/Lymphoma (ATLL) and HTLV-1 associated myelopathy (HAM) syndromes. Here, we report a patient who presented with confluent-violaceous maculopapular skin lesions, arthralgia and positive serology for rheumatoid factors. Later, the patient presented with thrombocytopenia anemia, walking disability and renal involvement. Future workup discovered the diagnosis of ATLL lymphomatous involvement and HTLV-1 positivity.
