Abstract
A 69 years old male with Cotard’s Syndrome presented with severe hyperplasia, depression, forgetfulness and insomnia medical treatment is an outpatient setting was unsuccessful and he was admitted to psychiatric unit. Brain imaging showed cortical and subcortical atrophy. Base on MRI findings, physical examinations and clinical tests and with the diagnosed frontotemporal dementia with psychotic depression and ineffectiveness of medical therapy the patient was treated with Electro Convulsive Therapy and continued to 8 sessions. After that patient Symptoms of depression, uncontrolled appetite and Cotard delusions were controlled.
